Here we are with Picture #2 in my "Birthday Week" series. Just like with my first picture, "Meet Emmy", this one comes to us courtesy of a request from , who wanted to see a romantic picture, between Skulker and Ember McLain in a beach setting.However, she also wanted to see Skulker in the new SkulkTech armor I put him in (Skulker and Technus did actually merge into SkulkTech 9.9 in my DP fanfic series, but even though they were separated at the end of the story, Skulker kept the armor upgrades). But since the beach isn't exactly a choice background for cybernetic battle armor, I decided to tweak the theme of the image a bit by showing an armored Skulker floating through the Ghost Zone and pausing to dreamily savor the warm memory of a tender beachfront moment he and Ember once shared, one warm summer sunset.
See, people? He doesn't have hunting on the brain ALL the time.
For what it's worth, I was hoping to have it finished and posted a lot sooner, but Skulker was a chore all by himself, not to mention the multiple backgrounds. Anyway, hope everyone enjoys this one, especially you, .

Oh, and as for Skulker's expression on the beach, yeah, that was mostly for laughs more than anything. Basically, I wanted to put together a pic that was sweet and funny at the same time. Not to mention with a bit of fanservice, since it meant trotting Ember out in a swimsuit.

Uh, let's just say that Technus doesn't have a whole of of say about anything right now. The reason Skulker is wearing the SkulkTech 9.9 armor is because in my fanfic series, Skulker and Technus were already merged together. But when Technus tried to use the situation to his advantage by overriding the armor's systems and trying to re-upload himself Axion Labs Cybertron computer, Tucker and Valerie turned the tables on him and managed to separate him from the armor, shooting him into cyberspace. At present, Technus is still bouncing around the internet and only Tucker knows how to find him again. But Skulker was all too willing to keep the upgrades that Technus made to the armor. That's the story on that.
In any event, so glad you like the pic. Hopefully, you've had a chance to enjoy my others and will get a chance to enjoy the rest that I'll be posting over the next couple of days.

Unfortunately, I cannot accept this into since it is not fanart for a DP fanfic. A while back we had changed the rules on artwork that would be acceptable for #PhanFiction [link] Again, sorry but I cannot accept this due to those reasons. Unless this picture is directly tied to a DP fanfic, I can't accept it into the group.

Well, for what it's worth, I kind of thought getting the pic posted here would be something of a craps shoot. I just figured that since upgrading Skulker to the SkulkTech armor was something that I did have happen in my fanfic series, there was a chance I could get away with it. But it's ultimately your call and if you choose not to post it, I'll respect the decision. I've still got future fanfics on the way.

Not a problem. I do have a pair of pics that I'll have completed and posted in the next day or two. Since those two pics are hewavily connected to my DP fanfic "Facing the Future", I might be able to get away with posting them with you. But I'll leave it to you guys to make the final call.

I guess that means you like it then. Again, I don't know if it's exactly what you envisioned, but my picture description explains the direction I took. In the end, it's a nice blend of sweet and funny. Not to mention a little bit of fanservice by trotting out Ember in a swimsuit.
Speaking of which, I hope the design of the swimsuit works for you. I know you rejected my original proposal because you didn't want Ember to be in anything too slutty. So this was my fallback design.

I think Ember's in a lot of DP fans' top 10. Although, I have to be honest, I''ve never been really sure quite why. It's not that I don't like Ember, but it's just, she doesn't really have any more of a presence in the series than any of the other DP villainesses. So I just don't understand what people see in her that sets her apart from the rest of the pack (or harem, as the case may be). Is it the punk rock motif? Is it the nice, round head? I don't know.
Just redirecting the conversation slightly, I'd like to state for the record that it was all the work on Skulker that had this pic taking longer to finish than I'd previously envisioned. I went out of my way to get the SkulkTech armor all together because I knew it was one of the things you wanted. But that thing just has so many parts and almost every single one of them is a different color. So in the end, just getting him done alone, no word of a lie, was almost three hours of work.

Well, I never said that you thought the picture was bad. I figured you liked it and I was happy for that. I'm just saying that your view is understandable, since Skulker and Ember are never going to be the #1 power couple in the DP universe (that title will ALWAYS go to Danny and Sam). Since the pairing just came out of nowhere on the show, it didn't really feel quite as natural as it would have if people had gotten the chance to actually see it develop.
