These realistic renders of pokemon are very fascinating! I love how you put your own interpretation into them, but kept them looking realistic nonetheless. Did you use references from animals to construct these? I hope you haven't stated whether you did or didn't... Sometimes I don't care to read the artist's description.

Before doing one I'm searching for the essence of the pokemon, the feeling that it gives me when I look at it/the feeling that it gave me when I was a child.
Then I do my reseaches on the pokemon name (english and japanese), pokedex descriptions, movepool, evolution. Then I'm researching many photos or illustrations of animals to see what kind of animal/what part of an animal could be useful. Next I'm doing several sketches, in which I include my biology knowledge.
After I'm happy with the sketch I paint it.
