Grass starter of Hoenn.Video speedpainting: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iXzRHβ¦

I must say I was hurry with this and lazy with tail >:3
Added the tip of the second tail, it was bothering me enough to edit this
I remember launching Pokemon Saphire version, the first original game I had, being full of excitement and then I saw the starters...
No matter what you say, I will always see butt on its head.

Awesome!
I couldn't find the Sinnoh-starters in your gallery. Is it just because I'm blind, or is it just that you didn't do them?

On the plant-type debate:
Treecko's supposed to be like Uroplatus, commonly known as leaf-tailed geckos. Their tail does look a bit like a leaf and they often have a sort of plant-like texture on their scales. Look them up, they're quite similar.
All Uroplatus species are arboreal, which is mirrored by Treecko living on or around trees.
Oh, and while we're at it, nice work. Treecko ftw.

I certainly looked up all accesable informations about Treecko's possible origins/similarites to real life animals, as I usual do when I revamp a pokemon into realistic style. I do know this gecko. Thank you though.
The point is the tail still is a part of an animal, not a plant. It does not perform photosynthesis and even if, the pokemon does not gain benefit from it. The only thing that seems to make this pokemon a grass type pokemon is just resemblance of its tail to a part of a plant. Which makes little sense.
The pokemon further evolution stages aren't better in that matter. In fact, they may be even more confusing and makes harder to understand this pokemon better.
Thank you.

i dont really get treecko's type either. geckos eat bugs and yet treekos a grass type so it's weak against them.

Maybe the bugs mistake him for a plant and try eat him?

Love the eye in this one. The scales around the belly is also a great touch and enhances its reptile appearance. After reading your description I never noticed how treecko makes the least amount of sense as a grass type. My only assumption is that its a camouflage tactic than a literal plant body part.
