Christmas aproaches

I can sense it drawing near

Everyone is aching

For a little Christmas cheer

They'll put up a tree

To warship a child

Sing carols door to door

Walk 1000 miles

And all the kids get presents

Wrapped in fallen stars

It'll spark imagination

Warm our very hearts

.

Yet I am the girl

That twirls through the snow

Wishing for the calander

That Newton would have known

.

His laws secured us firmly

Our feet upon the ground

Helped investigate the universe

That lay all around

.

On December 25

in 1643

lived a man who was inspired

By and apple on a tree

For so much as you may dream

I think there's no such thing

As a being in the sky

With an all seeing eye

But athiests live through winter

Run madly through the snow

And want something to celebrate,

To set our hearts aglow

So why not Issac Newton,

Who thought up gravity

So what if in the end he's wrong?

Have a bit of leivity

Let me celebrate winter

See friends and family too

So what if I don't go to church

and aren't the same as you?

So let us dance insanly

And I'll bake an apple pie

You can keep your bible

And we'll both be just fine
