Description

First piece of art since I had my surgery. This fanart is from the ZOIDS franchise, a Zenebas Empire faction Zoid from the OJR release in the late 80's/early 90's. Its name was Merda in japan, and under the name Helrunner in the European release. It was a high-speed strike and recon ZOID, capable of speeds at 400 km/h and 500 with thrusters(248.55 mph and 310.7 mph in standard/Imperial Units). I personally thought the OJR battle story was really cool and was always disappointed it didn't get an anime adaptation. For reference, the OJR battle story preceded the NJR battle story(the basis for ZOIDS Chaotic Century anime/manga) by what use to be the third moon of Zi that was destroyed by a comet and rained debris down on Zi. The Central Continent is split into three, ending the standoff between the King Gojulas and Deathcat as well as the war. 42 years later begin the events of the NJR Battle Story and subsequently the anime and manga for ZOIDS: Chaotic Century.
