This map of the Twokinds world, which I've been working off an on now for the last few months, has probably been one of my largest projects involving Twokinds. I hope you appreciate the effort. ^^ It's not entirely finished... I don't think it ever will be, but I am satisfied enough with it right now to display it. This is actually the second version of the world map I've made. You can find the previous version here: [link]

I've included a legend to the image since the last time it was shown off, but I'll just go over some notable points of interest.

The dotted line represents the path our characters have traveled so far in the story, and the numbers in cyan circles represent where each chapter of the story takes place. The Templar West College is where Trace grew up and met Saria. Martholm, near the Human/Wolf border, is were Saria was killed and Trace began hating the Keidran. Lyn'knoll, a village inhabited by both Human and Keidran, is located near the Humans/Tiger border, in a valley beneath the Parapet Mountains. Edinmire is the village where Flora grew up and was raised by Humans. The Coastal Tribe village, at the southern-most edge of Fox territory, is where Keith eventually drifted to after being banished, and where he first met Laura.

The Western Basitin and the Eastern Basitin ended up on opposite sides of their island after a dramatic event in their history, but they don't like to talk about it.

I love this map so much. It's exactly the sort of look I'd like for my own RPG maps.Β

May I ask how you made it? Are the symbols your own? Did you use any Map-making guides or is it all your own process. I'd love to learn how you did this.Β

I'm curious. This all were keidran lands before the humans arrived, so this can't possibly be a map of the whole planet. So how big is this continent compared to the rest of the world?
And do the humans have support on the other continents?
Or, since this is a world with magic, did they come through something like a portal to this world?
Or maybe they had to flee some plague and leave their homeland.

What do you guys think where the humans first came from?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

goldgardian In reply to chuckyzoopa [2016-06-29 21:23:12 +0000 UTC]

they came from across the sea if I remember correctly, no portals involved. though I wonder what happened to their ancestral lands

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

Celia94 In reply to chuckyzoopa [2015-10-11 01:28:12 +0000 UTC]

Maybe they lived in what today are the Frozen Wastes, and had to live due to a sudden or slow change in the world's temperature.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

chuckyzoopa In reply to Celia94 [2015-10-11 16:24:40 +0000 UTC]

But still, the planet would be really small! I mean, they traveled half of the continent in 8 chapters, like maximum 5 Months. That would be an awful small planet.
Also, they came to Keidran lands by ship, and they didn't have had contact with them before.

It's been a while since I did re-read the comic, but if I'm right the first Keidran they met were wolfes or dogs, so they must have come from somewhere in the west.

Well, we don't know what's beyond this map, maybe there are more continents that aren't very far away. What if humans are doing a Christopher Columbus thing there...?

chuckyzoopa In reply to 01blueemerald [2015-09-02 22:27:28 +0000 UTC]

Maybe because most of their territory is made of forests so they have an advantage fighting there. So maybe they just have taken over theΒ  south- western forest of the human territory and haven't expandet their whole borders. Would make sense, because there is the easiest way to cross the borders, the rest is covered by mountains they'd have to pass first.
I just realised, the borders between human and keidran territories always seem to be natural borders of mountains.
