Description
"The Web Slinger" (Done with markers and colored pencil)I've been contemplating doing a Spiderman piece for over a year. I've been hesitant because there are so many great artists who draw Spiderman amazingly, and there's just hardly any poses of him that haven't been done yet.
My friends have told me that they're tired of listening to me whine about it, so here it is.

The part that always scares me about Spider-Man is the webbing, both from his shooters and on his costume. I think you nailed both here -- especially in the foreground, where it has a certain McFarlane-esque kineticness to it. That's not easy to capture. The only critique I would make is that his right calf looks a bit short given the angle we're seeing it at, but I had to look at the image for a while before I noticed it. Overall, it's amazing, as usual. I especially like the positioning of his right hand, as if he's tossing the discarded webbing away behind him.

kmkibble75: Yeah, I wanted it to have the "coming at you" effect so the so his left leg is closer than the right... that might be why the left leg looks shorter. That's my excuse anyways

The anatomy is perfect and the shading is amazing!
I really like the background too because it looks like an airbrush effect.
I do hope you will draw your favourite superhero more than once...maybe a cutiefy version ? XDD I really like the chibi Ironman one.
