Here is the journal skin I made for myself and I figured I could share it with others P:I don't think there is anything too terribly difficult in this skin but if you have any troubles feel free to ask.
Answers to common questions:
-Can I use this journal skin?
Yes. YOU ALWAYS HAVE PERMISSION TO USE THIS JOURNAL SKIN!
Though if you do not have a premium membership you will not be able to use this skin.
-You have permission to take this journal and put your own
images to it. I just ask for a credit to me for the code.
Kuroshitsuji and the image used in this obviously belong to Yana Toboso

This is a fantastic skin. I love using it!
However - I have gotten some complaints from my watchers that the text is difficult to read - that the background behind the text is not light enough. Is there anyway to fix this?

Here's a version with a lighter background that I just quickly put together for you (also with a few minor changes to things that have been bothering me in this journal... >.>;; )

I know you probably get loads of "OMGZ I LUV THIS SKIN" comments but ohmigoodness it's so good.
I can't find a single tutorial that I actually understand out there that'll teach me how to make a journal skin so if you could give me some pointers that'd be awesome!

Um well, how the codes work and how you do the CSS formatting.... :/
I can't get my title to capitalise *A*;;;

Sorry for taking a while to get back to this, I had to get some resources together >.>;;;
So the basic layout for css is
selector {
property: value;
}
where the "selector" is what you want to change, such as putting ".journalbox .journaltop h2" in instead of "selector" you would be able to effect the journal title. "Property" is how you are going to effect the selector, so if you were to put "font-size" instead of "property" you could change the font's size on the journal's title. "value" is the specific change you were to make, so you would basically put the font size you wanted here like "14pt"
To capitalize the title there are a couple options:
the simplest would be
.journalbox .journaltop h2 {
text-transform: capitalize;
}
this will automatically capitalize the first letter of each word.
or
.journalbox .journaltop h2 {
text-transform: uppercase;
}
this one capitalizes the whole title.
Another option is
.journalbox .journaltop h2 {
text-transform: capitalize;
font-variant:small-caps;
}
This will capitalize the first letter of each word, as well as turn the rest of the title to capitals, but smaller then the first letter of the word.
As for the journals structure these are the resources I used:
[link] <-- this is a good resource to visually see how the journal is set up and what you are specifically working with.
[link] <-- this is a nice basic template to start with, and it has a lot of nice little notes to help you.
[link] <-- This is a css cheat sheet that tells you a lot of the css properties you can use and the values you can apply to them, but to find out specifically what they do you may have to look them up on google....

Hmm thanks xD It's still kinda confusing. I tried to add the:
.journalbox .journaltop h2 {

to it but it just told me there was an error and it wouldn't show anything until I deleted that :/

Yeah, css is really confusing when you first start out, but it gets easier (in some ways...)
Did you add it into an existing journal skin?
The journal skin you have right now looks like it's done with the "gruze" journal style, which has different "selectors" then the old style journal skins >.>;;; this could be what's going on (though I don't know "gruze" styling so I'm not sure)
