This homicidal arthropod did not get that major of a change, mostly cleaning up detailing and textures. Though his wings were lengthen while his stinger was changed to appear more functional. His color scheme was darken along the additional patterns of his wings, preluding to his Ira Deorum.

Like Jörmungandr, his Ira Deorum has been seen plenty. The plot detail had with initial cast of monster was three out of the four had an elemental pattern to their abilities (Azaka=Electricity, Jörmungandr=Water, Skadi=Ice), however it was noted that Thanatos seemly broke this pattern. Being a creature that was believed only to corrosive saliva and toxic gas. But at the end came the twist that Thanatos does reveal his true nature. His body temperatures increase drastically as his body glows red, ignited the sulfur dust covering his entire carapace. Producing brilliant, blue flames just that is incredibly toxic. Where Thanatos is normally an calculating brute, he has now turned into a blazing berserk.
