Description Yup, I figured it was about time I did this, too.
Original template belongs to fox-orian . Go here for the template.

Now, let me talk a little about each entry in this influence map~.

1. Pojypojy
As indicated by the sheer size her pic (this one ) takes up you can see I consider Pojypojy my biggest influence. If you've been looking carefully at my gallery or have seen some of the very first posts on my tumblr you'll find I eventually made a big change in my style of drawing faces - mainly thanks to Poj and her awesome A Song of Ice and Fire fanart inspiring me to attempt a more realistic style of drawing faces (and perhaps even bodies). And her work continues to inspire me~. (Sadly she hasn't really been active in a long time :c)

2. Hiroaki Samura
Another artist who got me more into realism. I loved reading Blade of The Immortal with its kickass story and just as kickass artstyle. Though it's still very manga-y I like it a lot more than most desu-desu-kawaii big-eyed manga style you usually see in popculture. Samura's got a far more subtle and even somewhat dark style and I'd love to achieve a style like this eventually.

3. Kubo Tite
Ah yes, Kubo Tite, and his gateway manga of the worst kind, Bleach. I'll never deny having been a big fan of this series and I take no shame in saying that Kubo's a master at drawing efficiently. It's incredible how few lines he needs to completely establish a character - which is especially impressive when he's not drawing his three bishi face variations. He can pull of a great ammount of different faces, he just rarely resorts to'em, when it comes to really important characters.
Originally Tite was my main inspiration in drawing when I started getting more serious about art and there's still some traces of that left in my art nowadays.

4. Hiroshi Shiibashi
Another one of my favorite mangaka when it comes to more standard manga. Nurarihyon no Mago had some really solid storytelling and an awesomely diverse cast of monsters straight from Japanese folklore - often even drawn in a traditional Sumi-e style! But even when Hiroshi isn't using a brush to paint he manages to implement a stunning degree of elegance to his drawings - and I have been trying to do so as well ever since I read Nurarihyon no Mago. Furthermore, I love the Japanese costumes he draws and won't deny that Ube's attire I've been drawing lately was inspired by Nurarihyon's robes.

5. noahbradley
I doubt I'll have into great detail as to why this guy is an inspiration to me. His digital scenery paintings, especially, always have great atmosphere, amazing ammount of detail and are wonderfully atmospheric. Since I have been recently putting more work into painting backgrounds and sceneries I've drawn lots of inspiration from noah's work and been trying to figure out some techniques to get similarly awesome results.

6. Nobuhiro Watsuki
Another mangaka who produced a beautiful and capturing work. Rurouni Kenshin had a great story, a great cast of loveable protagonists and interesting villains while also encorporating a rather mature opinion on its own subject matter - and very beautiful, if somewhat angular art. Definitely where I took my most inspiration from when it comes to Japanese clothing and originally even a source for my way of drawing of faces - before Poj came my way, at least.
I still keep coming back to Watsuki's work and keep dreaming of reaching his mastery of drawing eventually.

7. JJcanvas
JJcanvas' speedpaintings were actually some of the first things to ever get me into landscape painting. Seeing someone wield a digital brush so expertly really gets you motivated to try your hand at this as well and produce sceneries as breathtaking as the one I put in this influence map .

8. Risto-licious
Risto - or risto-licious as they're known on here - I've known for almost as long as I've been actively uploading stuff to art communities like deviantArt. And it's certainly interesting to watch another artist go through long developments of their own style, making me want to keep developping my own style as well - and draw the one or other influence from them as well, even though they draw far more cartoony than I am actually aspiring to - but oh well, it's not like I myself have a great say in what my style turns out to be.
At the same time the charme her characters manage to inspire through their antics is undeniably great and I'm ofttimes dreaming of being able to make people laugh with funny sketches and short comics as well.

9. Bhansith
An artist with a great variety of styles and a ton of speedpaintings I thouroughly enjoyed, Bhansith is a role model for me especially when it comes to a simplistic, yet efficient cel shading style.

10. Fyre-Dragon
Fyre-Dragon is really great at character designs and I love her beautifully composed works. They carry the feelings of her carefully constructed characters really well and show Fyre-Dragon's great passion in what she does, tempting my inner artist as well.

11. sinDRAWS
SinDRAWS also is a master of characters and comedy nonetheless. He's got both great artistic talent as well as telling a story through his pictures. I am also amazed by how lovely just his sketches are to look at and have spent many a hour watching his speedpaintings on Youtube seeing one or two tricks that I myself have been encorporating in my work from there on.

12. Jongwon Park
A great concept artist from whose pictures and drawing timelapses I am trying to learn as much as possible. He's a master of his craft and able to establish entire landscapes with few, well-placed brush strokes and then refines them with even greater accuracy and well-thought-out composition. His color schemes are fantastic as well as the ideas he paints out and I can only wish to learn as much as I can from studying his works.
