Some more deados.
I tried to as much as possible not paint and just use photos. Most of the time when working in film, concept artists are asked to do this because the producers/directors like to see the image as close to the final as possible so there will be no confusion and no money wasted when it goes into production. Of course not all work this way, like when I worked on "seventh son" the director liked to see more painted works that is later taken to finish with photos (sorta like matte painting but for characters).
