Let's talk about The Promised Neverland season 2:
What happened?! Like seriously, what actually happened? I'm under the assumption that the second season was not based on a plot pre-planned in the manga, but even so; what is this? Every single plot point in this season is ridiculous! They butcher every single character they so perfectly set up in the first season, the characters no longer do anything for themselves and instead require deus ex machina to just save them in every instance. Nothing feels earned, it's hard to actually root for the main characters any more. Even ignoring all of the stupid plot points that appear out of nowhere AND ignoring the fact that all the characters from the first season have had their personalities and character development put through the proverbial meat grinder; everything is just so rushed, there's no time to get a hold on anything that's going on! My god; the last episode literally showed a frickin' slideshow of an entire season's worth of plot to rush to a happy ending, I just... I've never seen something as terrible as this! How did this happen?
If this was just a first season of an anime, and there was nothing that came before it; it'd be alright. I like the designs of the demons, and the plot *potential* is alright, even if they butcher it at every turn, but I'd pro'lly not think much about it and move on with my day, ya know? (oh, and in case any one thought this was a weird spoiler; this character Emma is different to the season 1 character Emma. Literally just 2 different characters with the same name. Yes, they pulled a Batman vs Superman in this season lmao)
