OK! You don't know how hard it was to decide whether I should post this or not. And also actually gain the courage to put it up! D8<This was me deciding this;
I dont wanna post this! But I'm actually very proud of it... NO! NOT POSTING IT! ... but I wanna show people... BUT I CANT! ... I can... CANT.... F**K IT! I'LL POST IT!
Heeeeh 8D; its pretty obvious I adore these 2 together now huh? XD; I was trying to hide it but its really hard to try and keep yourself from drawing what you love to draw >: (and showing everyone xD)
And there was also 2 layer effects I did and I couldn't decide which to use 8D;;

In my opinion, she's crying because she's kissing a mass of rotten flesh. I would too, in her place. Not that I ever would be, of course. I'd liken it to licking a steak left in the fridge since January. I don't care if she loves him or not, I love steak and I almost vomited from the mental image of me licking a rancid steak.

Hey just because its isnt as great as my other art doesnt mean I actually put some effort into this and maybe was actually quite proud of it. Whys it popular? i dont know maybe its because i have thousands upon thousands of watchers and people fav it because they like the emotion it gives, the way its drawn or something! If they like it then they'll fav it and Im not going to stop them. But my god how bout being a little considerate to the artists feelings? And perhaps think a little about what you're going to say next time and how it may affect them either positively and negatively.

It wasn't an insult. Just a small curiosity I didn't quite understand. I think the favs are best directed at your other work, which is genuinely great work. But take it how you want to take it; I see now why you turn critiques off--you take things a bit hard.

Allow me to just butt in here.
"Favs" are not a ranking of a picture, although, they seem deceptively like that. Favourites are what individual people like, and no matter how much skill you have, if it doesn't tug at enough heartstrings or appeal to the eyes, especially, then it's going to get a lower count of 'favs'.
Basically- they don't necessarily display how good a picture is, but instead, how many people like it.
Also think about this for a moment if you don't "understand" how it got to the front page;
Frzdragon is pretty popular and she has a large fanbase. Her story gained a lot of popularity and this is a popular pairing amongst her fans- I'm not saying it's THE most popular of her pairings, but it is definately one of the top few.
Now- Frzdragon is the only one supplying this pairing outside of fanart, which makes it practically (but also not) cannon. Which means that a lot more people will love it.
This is a pairing picture- no matter how neatly it's executed, it will be in favour. It's just a bonus that it's very nicely done. Therefore, I conclude that theme>substance when there is short supply.
Also, on another note, if you feel the person you're talking to has become insulted, it's best not to insult them further by saying that they take things "a bit hard"- as polite as you intended it to be, it may have been better to keep it to yourself. She keeps the critiques off for several reasons-
To keep ignorant people from pointing out things that she knows about and doesn't want to change, and has mentioned so in the artist's comments...
That she doesn't actually want to be told how it could be improved (it may help some people, but for others it's not the way they work.)
Sometimes it is just plain annoying to get critiques, especially when the person does not know how to critique.
And finally- she could have taken it a lot worse, and I advise that in future you take into account how your comments come across as well as how they were intended.
