I'd really like to hear the story behind this one. Why did Chun-Li stop Dan? Was it because of protocol? Or, did she know he couldn't really fight (lol)?

Proof that the Saikyo style is actually effective...just not in Dan's hands.

Hate to sound like a nitpicky geek, but Go was actually a Muay Thai fighter. Dan created Saikyo-ryuu to avenge his dad since Gouken wouldn't teach him Shotokan/Ansatsuken due to Dan's motives. So, yeah, Saikyo-ryuu could POTENTIALLY be effective... but Dan's just not that bright.

Ryu gave Sagat the scar he had already lost the eye when they fought. And wow Dan's dad was a real bad ass if he could wound Sagat, wish Dan would take after him a bit more.

That is the correct canon history actually. Ryu scarred Sagat's chest but Go Hibiki was the one who took out his eye.

Although it would be funny if in some later storyline Dan takes out Sagat's other eye, loses the fight, and then Sagat goes around with two eye patches.
