I just cannot resist the effectiveness of the perspective of this illustration from Alvin Lee. It almost feels as if Sagat is towering Ryu as if he's a frigging titan. Then again, Alvin Lee is known for his emphasis of storytelling in his artwork. A great artist to inspire to.

Sagat was my favorite Street Fighter character for many years, but Akuma has long since taken that spot. He remains a good second, though.

Ryu had to cheat to beat Sagat in that fight, now that Ryu focuses on power from enlightenment and shuns murderous intent He can't possibly defeat Sagat.
Ryu needed murderous intent to beat him, with out he can never beat Sagat.

Another great piece by Arnold Tsang and Alvin Lee. It reminds me of one of Capcom's original pieces (though that was b&w with a little red, and a profile view). I love both really. It really captures the massiveness of Sagat, as well as his constant obsession with the vagrant warrior, Ryu. The other bosses in the back is a nice touch too.
