Description

The Ogregati beach gates were opened to the citizens of the city and Riley, only a visitor at the time, didn't know how long her stay would be in this quaint yet beautiful town. Although not one to be very comfortable showing much skin, she thought it a waste not to take the opportunity to see what the beach had to offer with her newfound friends. Her time in the warm sun and unforgettable memories she created with these friends made her begin to wonder.... if she even wanted to return home at all.

Ayeeee THIS WAS HELLA LONG TIME IN THE MAKING-- Thank you Ignis especially for being patient through the weeks as all I did was work on this lajsdklfjlak I wanted to draw as many friends that Riley and I have made over the time we've been in WM. Riley has made many more friends since starting this so you I'll do my best to draw your beautiful babes in the future /// WAIT FOR ME FRIENDS T u T

Anyway, Since I couldn't fit interactions between Riley and her friends in each picture I thought I'd explain what happens/what I headcanon to be happening here! I'll start from the top left and go clockwise!

1. Riley was walking along the beach, deciding where she wanted to set up her towel and umbrella. Along the way she came across the most beautiful//// two love birds, Kage and Bella. Bella very kindly insistent that Riley share a space with the two but she wanted them to enjoy their special time together so she gave Bella a pretty shell she found and promised she'd come back to hang out with her later! (Bella, Yukiko and Riley end up camping together that night and sharing (scary) stories together.
2. After finally finding a comfortable spot on the sand, she noticed Syun not far away scavenging the tide pools where there were no other people to be found. It seemed quite like him to be off on his own, but she was curious what he was up to. Calling out to him, he looked up around and began walking to her with what seemed a small wriggling creature. When he got closer she noticed that the small creature was in fact a crab! To be honest she just wanted to eat it, but the two decided to enjoy the shade and capture other crabby friends that passed by.
3. Later, after Syun left and she decided that she had been lounging around quite long enough she decided to take a walk.She passed by the two besties, Fay and Celeste who called out eagerly to her as she passed by.
4. Why not? She thought and decided to join her friends in the water. What was a beach day without swimming? She joined Leila who was helping May swim with her floaty. It was a good thing that May wasn't scared of her sharklike appearance and fin because of her lack of sight. Surprisingly, instead she thought Riley was something like a mermaid!? Unfortunately for Sousuke who was surfing, didn't know that Riley was in the water and mistook her for a real shark. Having quite the HEART ATTACK, he jumped off his board and bolted for safety--! The look of relief on his face when he found out it was actually her.
5. Nearing the end of the day, nee chan, Ellora and Callisto invited her to make a sand castle with them. Ellora made sure that the two were well hydrated and had re-applied their sunscreen while Riley held Callisto's precious collar in her bag for safekeeping from the water while they began on their castle fortress. Riley felt her heart grow warm that Callisto trusted such a precious item to her and that Ellora was such a kind lady to be watching over them.
