Character sheet for my 'teryx character, Morena. Funny that I'm finishing this one now since I'm also working on a character sheet for ~ArchTeryx 's Archaeopteryx character as wall.
Edit: Wow. I wasn't expecting a DD for this... since it's just a character sheet and I feel like I have a lot of better things in my MAIN gallery... but the powers that be seem to think otherwise. While I REALLY appreciate my first DD, I wish it would have been for something else.
And... since some people seem to be being VERY rude about this, comments are now disabled. Trolls belong under bridges... not on my dA page.
Seriously, people. Where did you learn your manners? I mean really... being an unholy asshole over a tiny image at the bottom of a webpage that will go away in 24 hours. Sure says a lot about you guys.

You don't understand or don't want to understand. Some cathegories should be simply banned from DD competition. Character sheets are one of them

Why character sheets entirely though? Based off of what you said and are implying. DD's are awarded to hard work and attention to detail. If a character sheet doesn't do that then it's missing the point.
Designing unique characters isn't as easy as it seems, and is therefore an art in itself. It can take months and in some cases, years to get something that works and it could still turn out to be subpar.
I'm not missing your point, I see it entirely, I just don't agree with it.

You can make a pic of character WITHOUT character sheet. That's all about character sheets. It's not rpg session.

Sure you can.
But that doesn't mean the character design sheet is less meaningful since you still have to show personality, design, and physical personality. That's the skeleton that creates the finale design. And based off of that, in certain cases, could be considered just as, if not more, important than the character just standing in a white background or looking like a screenshot from a film.
I just think that both are equal forms of art. And both can be just as bad as the other if done improperly.
Yea... most sheets here on DA are for rpging it seems. And sure, [link] >these pieces due make hella' good DD's, but if the character sheet is just as interesting, full of life and consideration, even dynamic action! Couldn't that be DD worthy?

So it's art or still rpg character? For me those two don't mix together. At all. Because you either draw/paint character or describe him/her/it.

I'm glad to see you got the DD for this. I really thought it was different and special and I could see a lot of work went into it.
However, I do apologize for all the negative comments from one or two people who seem to have a very narrow idea of what qualifies as a daily deviation. I nominated it because the anthro concept was unique and beautiful and I could see a lot of artistic decisions and work went into making this reference page a visually pleasing work of art.
I'm biting my tongue to keep from responding to some of the rather unfair comments you have gotten since this became a DD. I really don't think it will do any good talking to them and probably start a comment flame war which I really have no interest in. So, if any of their comments hurt your feelings, I'm sorry. I suggested it as a DD and I still think it is worthy of being one and I applaud the new anthro moderator for selecting something different instead of the myriad of usual DD anthro choices that all look like they were done by the exact same group of three people.
Again, congratulations and I'm sorry.

Normally I judge a DD based on either technical ability, or concept and composition.

I'd certainly hope not, seeing as I'm a woman. But regardless. Look. Your behavior was wrong. The FAQ says so. You obviously hadn't read that, because you wouldn't have done it if you had. You don't have to like the Deviation. But you're also not supposed to bring it up on the Deviation itself. It's rude, it's immature, it's against the rules. You have a problem, take it up with the admin who featured it. Simple.

I did it when first time I was scolded for bad behaviour on dA. That was about two years ago.
That makes it my own problem that I'm rude, inmature and like always breaking the rules. Why should I even bother talking with moderator, if they IGNORE you every time you when you ask them why this or that get DD? They don't give a damn about me, I don't give a damn about them. That's all

If an antho piece is just as well executed as anything else seen on DA then it deserves to have a DD.
Does this specific piece deserve it? Maybe not, but to diss all anthro art based off of this or any other is a bit biased and closeminded.

Based off of this there are other reasons why a DD is given. Just because something is done beautifully doesn't mean it's as artistic as something done with a lesser understanding of the technical aspects of art, but shows a well executed concept and has a good composition.
I also said "maybe it doesn't" based off of what you're judging it by, which is its technical aspects.

You mentioned before that you have the right to comment whatever you want, so why should other people be prohibited from doing the same to you? I find it ironic that you can't take what you throw. :/
Yet again, you're misunderstanding me. I'm neutral on whether or not this deserves a DD. On the technical side does it deserve it? No. It has many flaws in terms of consistency, coloring, and execution.
Does it deserve it on the terms on concept? Maybe. Although I like some anthros out there, I'm not a huge fan of them overall. And in terms of furry art in general, it kind of depends on me. Concept should push further than anything else in a furry piece for me. I think in terms of it being a dino anthro is pretty cool, seeing how most anthros are mammals, and typical oens at that.
I agree that there are more deserving pieces out there for DD. But I will admit I've seen far worse DD's submitted than this one. Which is why I'm staying a bit neutral on this one.

And I didn't tell also that it's worst DD-granted piece ever. It's not even 50% that bad like half of nude shots and most of fan arts. Not to mention manga/anime pieces... and crappy digital art pieces where I wonder who the hell suggested it and then "pat" as DD... But it still not good enough to get DD. Concept is not enough. There is such Polish saying: Dobrymi chΔciami jest piekΕo wybrukowane - The Hell is paved with good intentions.

I wasn't trying to attack you. There are very few reasons where I'd attack someone. 
You've got good points, and I do agree with some of them. On the technical side of this it's highly irksome to see such anatomical inconsistency, especially on a character sheet... augh.
I also agree there are more deserving pieces out there than this one.
It does seem that the person who featured this is friends with a mod, which does make me raise a brow. I mean, that's bound to happen regardless. I wouldn't mind it so much though if the pieces being featured by friends were outstanding examples. I honestly think this is her best piece.

Anthro's never been my cup of tea, but lots of people like it so it HAS the right to live. But what bothers me is mostly that the artist IS talented, she has far better works than ..this, I'd be offended if I got a DD of something I put in my scraps. Not that I'm gonna get one until I become at least better than average at drawing but srsly, whoever suggested this is stupid
