Ah Chaotic Star...why are you so fun to draw! Maybe its cause she houses the rage that I sometimes want to release but always keep inside...
I drew this when I heard that I didn't get a job I was almost sure I was going to get. I was so mad that they said no...or rather the stupid automatic response to the online interview said no. I hate it when it's not even a human that denies me. Oh well. Not like I can help it now.
I'll let Chaotic Starlight go rip their hearts out in their nightmares instead

It's definitely not fun to be anywhere NEAR her in this form. Even if she isn't after you, she throws her power around and doesn't care who gets hit in the crossfire. A fitting title for such a chaotic form. Har har.

my character Kniffe would no way get chaotic mad. He's not to bright but he's smart enough not to fall for Bugs Bunny's tricks. Lol

Kniffe was trying to learn how to use a chaos emerald. But then he was squeezing the emerald to hard it cracked and well you can kinda guess what happend. How did Starlight get cursed?

Before she got woken up properly, the chaos emerald being used for the test made the machinery she was hooked up to spark and catch fire from it's power. The chaos energy inside the emerald then traveled through the wires and infused itself into Star's body through the spots on her that you now see glowing scars on.

Mmmmyeeeeeah if you got your heart broken, that's a definite on the whole 'feeling too much of a negative emotion' side. And that's what makes her change.
You'd actually be surprised how careful Star is when it comes to her Chaotic side though. Since she knows so much about it, she can take measures to prevent herself from actually killing whoever is upsetting her. Some though are quite nasty...and sad

Sorta. She was originally designed to be pretty much like Shadow the hedgehog, and had the same creator. But an accident happened that fused raw chaos emerald energy into her body. So she essentially became a living 'chaos emerald' of sorts.
But we all know that the energy inside chaos emeralds have both positive and negative properties. So whatever emotions Star feels, she inadvertently triggers power from the source in her. If she's happy or normal, she's perfectly fine to be around and a great ally. But get her upset enough to feel a negative emotion for too long, and boom. She goes Chaotic and rips you asunder (it is the energy's strange way of doing 'justice' almost, just like how Perfect Chaos used the negative energy in SA1 to try and destroy the world because it was angry at it for what happened in the past).

As far as characters that are as well developed as Star, I probably only have like 3 or 4 others. They are all shown (roughly) in my Character Intro comic in the commic section of my gallery. Misty is probably my next truly well-developed character, but not much info has been revealed yet about her.
That will change one day though. all my characters will get proper introductions sooner than later

I had tried adding a radial blur to this myself, but the effect wasn't what I had hoped for...maybe I just did it wrong though haha. I'll note you a non-blurred version ^^

And there goes my spleen. Terrific job on the visuals, Ulta! The only things that bother me is that her teeth seem to be a bit parted and that the light source of the pic (the sun) should probably wrap a shadow around Chaotic Star (minus the light of doom on her forehead).
But it's not MUCH of an issue, so once again... Terrific job!

Yeah that's always my issue with Star. She's got so many light sources on just her alone that shading her is a pain. There's also light sources coming from her wrists and tail too (I forgot the tail glow though...oops! ), so that made it harder. But I did try to cast a shadow sorta on her front.
