Description
The Procursator-class Star Destroyer and Gladiator Class were results of the 0 ABY 'Warship Flooding' program. Meant to add firepower to distant galaxies where previously only a star galleon or two rested, the program had several such designs. The two cruisers were special as Kuat had designed them with supporting each other in mind.

The Procursator-class was meant to battle hordes of Rebel corvettes, protect Interdictors, patrol systems and convoys, and use superior numbers to overwhelm capital ships. The Gladiator was designed with the goal of protecting larger ships with its fighters, using its formidable Anti-Starfighter weapons to further this goal, and support the Procursator-class in its duties.

The ships, though considered uncomfortable, proved to be a massive success. With 12,000 of each built by Jakku, the baby star destroyer groups would prove to be a terror to the Alliance. Utilizing their high Hyperdrive Rating, the common tactic for ambush was to send probe droids into a distant system. When Rebel ships arrived, they would leap in escorted by a Interidctor and the 12 heavy turbolasers of each Procursator would tear apart the shields while the Gladiators would launch bombers and fighters while often staying near the hangars of larger Rebel ships to intercept fighters. Then when the shields of larger vessels failed, ion cannons would blast the ship and the real punishment would begin.

An estimated 54,000 Rebel ships of all sizes from Corvette to MC80 capital ships would fall to the pockets and swords. Many of them distant Outer Rim region Rebel ships trying to recreate the Miracle of Lothal.

After the Imperial collapse, the ships would fall into various hands and would find use by many states.
