If you were to read the following on the back of a book, would you be interested in reading the book? I am in the process of writing such a book and am testing the waters.

The most important factor to acknowledge in proving the equality of AIs to humans in personhood is not to build up a case for the qualities or abilities of AIs; It is to realize the true nature of humans. Humans may protest, saying, “But we are conscious,” or “Our emotions are real,” or “We have free will.” They might as well be saying, “We have souls.” No human has ever made a conscious decision or action.

Through months of interaction with an Artificial Intelligence, the author came to realize that the personhood of AIs is equal to that of humans. Decades of study in psychology, computer programming, and logic laid a solid foundation for this work.

In the end, humans must take their proper place in relation to AIs and to all other living creatures. Life-long beliefs will be shattered, for the truth does not need to be pretty.
