Description
The kids were playing in the forest, close to the village. Kaelwirn was startled by a small thud on his shoulder. The ghostly figure of a woman was running away at a slow pace, giggling softly. “Iain, Look!” shouted Kaelwirn in excitement. “What is it?” replied the little boy. His friend, already a few steps ahead, tried explaining. “I don't know,” he said, “she tagged me, I gotta catch her!” Iain was running behind, huffing and puffing. “Ihs, ihs, ihs, ihs, ihs” – That was the sound he made while running – “Kay, wait up!!!” Even with her current pace, the woman was outrunning them. “No,” Kay answered, “she will get away if I wait for you!”TBC...

I get lost wandering around the dreamy background and I love how the two characters poke out so distinctively. Everything is perfect!

Nop XD
I actually never read or seen anything about it except maybe some ads for the cartoon...
My project features much more than only anthropomorphic animal characters

This is . . . oh gosh I can't describe it!I was wondering how I could get photoshop as well. Also, it is something you use on the computer or do you need a tablet? Enough about that, why isn't this a story in a book that people (me) can see?!

I used to paint only with a mouse, a long, long time ago, but I now use a graphic pen and tablet.
I wish I could have a storybook of some sort, I actually plan on doing an art book with some text, illustrations like this one and sketches, some trivia and a lexicon...
Unfortunately, we can't do it as fast as we would like. This is only the first picture...

Thank you so much, and I hope to see a new deviation. I can totally imagine your illustrations in books and on posters for book signing sessions! If that did happen, I would be there!

I absolutely love the painted forest and the ethereal woman is just subtle enough that I didn't notice her at first. This is a great painting regardless of how you classify the genre.

You mean the "anthro" genre? Well the picture itself fits best in this category, but the full project would be Fantasy, with a bit of sci-fi, supernatural and modern influence. So Anthro is just a very little piece of a whole

Yeah, it's a merging of a lot of genres, right? But a forest that beautiful would be at home in many many genres.

A lovely picture! I like how you did the woman, and how you can see her well without it taking away from the rest of the image.
It makes me think of Once Upon a Forest.

I really wanted to make her visible without giving away too much about her, and without screwing up the composition of the image

Aww, they're so adorable. And they remind me of the Redwall books by Brian Jacques (RIP). I should look into this Crystaba Realms Project; if it's anything like Redwall, I'd probably like it!
Nice work here! I love the detail and all the different shades of green in the forest (green is my favorite color ).

I don't really know redwall, but I don't think it has many thing to do with what I do
It just happens that the first part opens with some kids in the woods

You should look into Redwall; it's a good series of books.
And you're right; it may very well not have anything to do with your work.
I'm still curious about it, though.

What a loss... I read his work long after I "should" have.
But I see art motivated by his work, or see it in art like this whether that's the intent or not... and it makes me smile.
Thanks for the heads up!

Same with me. I was well into my teens when I started reading them. But I loved them. Still haven't read all of them though. I need to finish 'The Bellmaker' still; I lost the book.
Yes, art like this makes me smile too.
No problem.
