From Charlie's boyfriend perspective
Charlie told me that she met a scientist that maybe could cure her condition but wasn't sure it would have worked, but we tried to do it anyway, we went to his lab and he asked me to help because it would take some time for the "antidote" to work, after helping him set up everything he asked me to put Charlie on the table and put chains and shackles on her to try and contain the beast, so i did that, she was scared and so was i but we were next to each other i said calming words such as "Calm down sweetie i will be at your side at all times". It was ready to begin, the scientist said that in order for this to work we would need to trigger the transformation, he grabbed what looked like a shock baton and approached Charlie
