The fox grabbed onto his lost friend and looked her in the eyes with disbelief.
"Cosmo...? You re...You're here?" he muttered.
"No...No you aren't meant to see me! Tails let me go, I have to go back!" she muttered back to him. "But..."
His lab began to change to white, and flowers began falling slowly from the sky, the both looked up, the moment was beautiful, but Cosmo then widened her eyes in realization.
"Tails..Tails let me go!" she cried.
"Why?! You're alive! You're here! Why would I do such a thin-" he was interrupted.
"I'm a spirit Tails!" she whined, "You are NOT meant to SEE or FEEL me, you can only believe I am always there, right now...you are risking my disappearance forever!"
"Cosmo..." Tails whispered.
Cosmo then turned her head away slowly and held her hand to his cheek,
"Just let me go Tails...please...and always remember, I will always be with you,"
Tails widened his eyes, the exact words she said to him when she....

"There are no words to describe how much I want you by my side right now," Tails muttered, "It was...it was great to see you again."
Cosmo looked at him and smiled, but the sadness still showed in her eyes.
Slowly, Tails removed his hands from Cosmo's shoulders, as he did so, the whitened world around him slowly became his lab again.
"Tails, I am always by your side." the last echo of Cosmo's voice whispered.
And Tails found himself back in his lab, standing in front of the plant he was watering before she came to him.
