I did some homework to discover who the "first" Japanese robot was, and here is he his: Atomic Power Android (原子力人造人間, Genshi Ryoku Jinzō Ningen) from a Japanese comic from 1948!!! Pretty cook, uh? Esp. since he has a flamthrower, missiles, machine guns, and rock'em, sock'em style punching ball hands!!
