Description Another quick color experiment in the GIMP. The colors in the top two rows to the left are what I would call thick and oily ones. And inversion should yield light and powdery, aka p'stel ones. Lo and behold, it wroks! (typo intended) It are these two extremes in the palette which I am most interested in. Although I'm not much interested in papery/powdery colors as such, only in combination with 'off' and muddy colors, like the 'old office' ones generated by the Alien Map filter. Those are very weird palettes.

Values: hex 330000, 333300, 003300, 003333, 000033, 660000, ...., 990000, ...., cc00000, ...., ff0000, ..... and inversions to the right: ffffff - 330000 = ccffffff, and you can do the rest of the hex math yourself using Holger Czukay's Witches' Multiplication Table www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKcPkC…

More sane values for the intermediate colors could have been chosen, but this was just as quick experiment.
