Tinkering away with RGBX, which happens to run like a charm.Interesting: the 'castellation' in top wasn't there in the PNG produced by the GIMP after adding a border, but it did show up in the JPEG. So I had to make a PNG from the JPEG for uploading. A strange little GIMPish quirk.
