Why are we arguing about Fortnight and MLP and their fandoms? There is absolutely no comparison.
One is a smart and un-pandering examination of friendships and brotherhood/sisterhood. It has life lessons and is generally wholesome and fun. It teaches tolerance and teamwork and forgiveness.
The other is just a random kids show about colorful horses.

It has increased bulling and it has made kids dumb and thats all they play and talk about
MLP is just a show and people hate it just because of the bronies and pegasisters and not all of them are terrible because ive seen why they like the show and even the creator of minecraft said he was brony
But i don't hate fortnite because of its popularity, i hate it because of how Unoriginal it is by stealing lots of game modes including Creative mode from minecraft
and the fans worship it like if it was the only game in the universe

Forgive my shameless attempt at irony. I actually don't know anything about fortnite. I am a fan of MLPFIM, and I have written collectively over 500,000 words in fanfictions to prove it.
The fandom itself is a more complicated relationship...
The show I like because it is what I described above and cute beyond reason. Sometimes I just want something that is simple and innocent. Huge bonus, it's something my daughter and I can and do watch together.

I have liked MLP since it started and have been watching it ever since.Fluttershy is my favorite because i really liked how she was with animals and felt sad to see her alone with them all the time so i made my OC be friends with her so she wouldn't be lonely.Rainbow is my least favorite because she is a huge jerk to Fluttershy and i really hate how she always shows off.Pinkie may be annoying but she helped me and my OC find the meaning of friendship and at least she is nice to FluttershyΒ
