Description

I'm memory of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and Big Bopper

The song "American Pie" was not by them, but by Don McLean. He wrote the song in 1971 in honor of the day the music died, which was February 3 of 1954.

Ritchie Valens had a fear of planes because he had seen a plane crash when he was younger. This was the first time he rode a plane; how ironic that he died because of a plane crash.

To get on the plane was a coin toss. There was more than three guys and Holly, Bopper, and Valens all won the coin toss. One of the guys that lost got angry and argued with Buddy Holly. The argument ended with Buddy Holly saying, "I hope your bus freezes over." and the other guy replying with "I hope your plane crashes". He didn't mean it, but he was probably pretty shocked when he heard the  news the next morning.

Okay, that was all I need to say, I guess. Hehe learning about these dudes and their lives is really interesting (no I did not do it for fun XD class project). American Pie has become one of my favorite songs. It's 8 minutes and 40 seconds long and I know all the words. Haha I'm a nerd
