Description
ISC Jacob's Ladder CorridorA 45-minute practice attempt with Photoshop - 45 minutes being my newest record time for any practice at all! I tried following a few methods I've seen employed by concept artists in order to be economic with the details but at the same time achieve some decent results - that is to start with values and perspective and concern myself with color only later.
The practice has taught me a lot in budgeting time but as usual, the results aren't particularly the best. I am however going to attempt another practice run soon enough with with some slightly changed steps in the technique.
---
As for the picture itself - a corridor of the living quarters from a ship called the ISC Jacob's Ladder. (ISC meaning Inter-Systems Confederation) This is an image I purposed for a forum RPG my friends and I are doing in which the goal is to enhance our writing skills, visual skills, AND dice rolling luck!
---
Note: As with painting thumbnails like this, the picture looks best when it's viewed a quarter of its original size!
Critiques are welcome!

Jacob's ladder...
That name is familiar to me. That was the name of an important ship in a star wars book I read, I think. I can't remember which.
The look makes me think of dead space, though.
