MUDKIPS! I LOVE MUDKIPS!!This one is probably my favorite right now. It was an original pattern, as almost all of my plushies are. It turned out sooooo cute though. MUDKIPS!!

congrats on the DD, it's nice to see plush makers get some love c:
However, those people who say its "not a powerful work" DO have a point. It's not so much your sewing/pattern making ability that drags this piece down, its the presentation.
The plush is laying on its side on..some sort of patterned material that clashes with it's colors. It looks like you spent no time on the photo, which gives the overall piece a mediocre appearance.
Try taking the picture outside. The lighting is better, and leaves/grass/etc. tend to make better backdrops than busy patterns. Here it looks like you just threw the plush down on whatever was around and snapped a photo. Even though it takes very little effort to take the photo outside, it will look like you put a lot more thought into its presentation c:
Because the plush is laying on its side, the first thing that came to my mind was "can it actually stand up?" It looks like it would fall forward since the head is so big. I don't know if this is actually true or not, but thats the impression I got. Try taking a photo with the plush actually standing, since thats how its intended to look.

It's not laying on it's side, it is propped up sitting, against my sewing machine cover with fabric over it to make it not as bland. It can stand up, I have another picture of it standing on my Etsy shop. It's head it a little heavy, and sometimes it does fall. But it still can stand. As for the picture taking, I didn't take them. My older sister did. So if you want to complain to someone about the quality of the picture, it would be her. But she doesn't derserve that. She tried hard on positioning my Mudkip plush right and she did put effort into the picture taking. I'm trying not to be rude to you, but I've had a lot of people telling me that I don't deserve a Daily Deviation, and that my plushies are crap. I'm only 15 so I think the quality of my work is pretty good for being young.

I am not saying your plush did not deserve a DD, far from it. I'm just saying why so many people have given you grief about it is because the presentation is weak. But most of my post was tips on how to make it better.
Its called constructive criticism.
Next time, just politely suggest these things to your sister, if she's the one who takes the photos. It will look a lot better, trust me :3
Oh, I should also point out that it's not wise to keep pointing out your age. It's an excuse, and you should never make excuses for the quality of your art.
A large proportion of dA is around your age anyways (I'm 17!), so being "only 15" isn't even that impressive xD;

Well, I'm sorry, I'm just a little annoyed right now. But thank you for caring. I've never had to put up with constant comments that need to be replied to, and the hate from other people. I don't want to be a terribly mean person to people. Espcially to peope that want to help me. I will try to have better pictures to post.

I have a bit of critique, even though I'm not a 'Seamstress' per se. The orange triangle that's attached to the bottom jaw looks out-of-line to me. The eye-shiney-thing also looks a bit odd to me.
But other than that, it's very good, very well made.
That said, I like it, but I don't think it's a very powerful work and not really deserving of a DD. I mean no offence in this, it's just not my 'taste' for a DD. I'm not trying to discourage you or be rude, I am simply stating my opinion.

I know, this was my first attempt at my mudkip pattern, and I didn't exactly know how it would work out. I don't really know why some of the triangles are off, but it just turned out that way. As for the eye thing, I was just making it how the Mudkip looks. I still put over 6 hours of work into this and I'm only 15 years old. As for it getting Daily Deviation, I have no control over it. I didn't think anything of mine would ever be a DD, but I guess someone liked it enough to make it be.

Well, I'm glad you feel sorry about it, but I still don't understand why you would have said such a thing about it. It's not like sewn things can't be a powerful work, as far as I'm concerned, if there is a categry for it on deviantart, then it's art. You can have something powerful in any category. Art is just about anything. And I think if someone really tried and put all their talent in it, it's art.

Well, if you feel that way about it, then why did you decide to look at it? Why would you leave a comment about it if you don't like it? That's a pretty rude thing to do. I'll let you know, I worked on this for over 6 hours, I made the pattern from scratch, sewed it myself, and hand sewed on the details, if you think that's not good quality work, you have got a bad view of things. I'm only 15, if still think that my stuff is "weird shit" well then don't ever look at my stuff again, and don't leave rude comments about how much you dislike my stuff, okay?
