This was going to be just a quick touch up job but I actually ended up doing a good bit of work on these two.The CGI render is pretty close to their look in the film but the tips of Skids' fingers were green in the movie. There were a few other tiny differences I noticed too in the movie from the early renders but they toys are far from perfect to the CGI models so some details couldn't really be added.
I got them as close as i could though to movie accurate.
Skids had two tones of green going on in robot mode so i repainted the darker green robot parts to match his car parts better, added more green parts where needed, and added a good bit of gunmetal.
I matched the orange on Mudflap the best I could and added more orange areas on him, such as his kneecaps, the big panels that separate on his robot mode, and his shoulders. Also added a good bit of gunmetal to him too.
I then painted both of their eyes blue and touched up some tiny details.
My girlfriend actually painted most of the gunmetal areas for me! It's great to get some help sometimes.

If you want to go even more screen accurate, swap Mud's left and right foot. If you look at the CGI model, the big tow is actually suppose to be on the outside of the foot.
It's actually really easy, cause the feet are on ball joints. I did it on mine.

I want these lol Transformer toys look so much cooler then how they use to back when I was little. There so much detail in them now its amazing.
