A walk in the darkI put on my brand new shoes
they are darker in than the night im in
with a reason higher than anything
I walk
I do not sway

in the dark
it is the eleventh hour in the night
there are no lights on

except
the rubber soles of my new shoes
I walk with great reason
that reason is
nothing
it seems an hour has gone bye

I do not walk on the side walks or near the shadows

right down the middle of the street
of twenty second
there are no light
for miles

sense fear
not from myself
for I do not care
but seemingly
from the shadows themselves
or what they hide
no matter where I am
no matter who is around me

and I am at peace
