Description His footstep echoed into the titanic halls...Old Greek pillars held the rooftop up in here...The bones of a thousand crushed, burnt men laid in pieces, scattered everywhere...
Into the darkness, he tried to penetrate it, tried to see what was there...but no chance. He walked on slowly, hesitantly, but very surely.
He broke a slight sweat; the atmosphere was killing him...
The further he got the more it felt like he was drowning. Drowning in heat, each wave felt more intense than the last. He was afraid. But he knew that he’d promised the townspeople its head.
The scenery changed so dramatically. It now looked like a dungeon, the bodies were looking more recently charred now, the walls were lit with fire torches that flicked and flinched...Like even they were afraid. The cobbled walls were a bronzy colour, illuminated by the fires', the floor was damp, and a small stream of water ran through the middle of the pathway. He found his worn suede boots soaked, but the water was warm.
His legs were starting to ache now, he's bin walking for a whole hour. Seeing the same old horror. But everything seemed gorier as he plodded forward.
His tin hat that they called a helmet was falling over his eyes' and his sword was slipping out of his hands, the clink and clank of his armored boots repeated there bland song...
Looking down, keeping his eyes pinned a few foot in front of him, he almost tripped out of shock when he so nearly fell off a jagged edge...Casting his eyes up and into the gigantic cavern ahead of him...
The water that parted the two platforms was glistening, it shone a silver tint...He was astounded, this cavern was forty meters by forty meters at least, the top was layered with hundreds of sphere like rock.
Across the chasm on the other platform was a smaller tunnel, which was still big enough to fit a small house in though.
After he had caught his breath, and absorbed his shock he noticed deep mumbling which shook the cave.
He shivered a little then heard it again.

While the wicked beast slumbered our hero climbed around the silver pond.
His hands were cut and worn, and he was tired...
His mind was begging him to turn back now, but his black heart craved this murderous glory... His hand once again tightened its grip on the blade...
He crept into the tunnel, into darkness again, his footsteps made him cringe with their ruthless racked.
Into a room which was taken with light, his iron body frames shambled into the light...
The Fire demon laid there...Looking evil even as it slept...its deep breathing shook the rocky roof of its home.
Our hero was the intruder...he once again raised his blade, but as he did so his loose helmet slipped off of his head, and collided with the stone floor...
Our hero's eyes were strung with amazement, and horror at once, he held his blade above his head stunned.
As the Dragon's eyes gazed open, his sharp black pupils opened, and focused wide, dilating it's deep orange iris.

With a flick of it's human sized hand, it knocked the hero across the room, his armor smashing against the cobbled wall, his sword slipping across the room...He laid there dazed, but scurrying his hands around for his blade...

The angry Red dragon, took to hind legs, sprung its wings out and gave a yawn of pure fury that loosened the ceiling with its sound, as small rocks hit the floor... Then returning to it's normal stance...It shook it's head to wake himself up from his four day slumber...Then gazed upon the small human, licking it's razor sharp teeth as it did so.

The man searched his pockets for a weapon, his hands appeared with a pan he used to cook a meal with...instantly tossed it at the demon, having no effect...The dragon charged to him, our hero took his shield and beat the dragon's face with the edge, then rolled under his stomach, taking hold of his sword, quickly swiping at the demons soft belly... then escaping from underneath him.
Watching the dragon roar then lick its wound, instantly then looking at him...it took a breath in ….the dragon seemed to suck the life and light out of the room…and then… suddenly exploded with flames... He held his shield to cover him; the intense flame burnt the edges away...
The dragon did it again...
And again...
Until nothing but the hot iron handle of the shield was left....
The man opened his eyes at last…to see the dragon recoiling…with a battle cry he charged, with his blade in the air he jumped on the dragon’s spiny back, forcing the blade to dig through it’s insides…
The dragon let out a roar, and flung him again across the room, but this time he got to his feet quickly…

He stopped for a moment…
The injured dragon slithered towards him, screeching…
He was calm, rested the side of the blade between his eyes on his nose…
His anger stirred inside, but he controlled it perfectly…
And as the demon grew close to him He left his feet, running up it’s nose…spinning in the air, pirouetting with his blade hid inside, when the fire demon leaped for his small torso…just like a guillotine.. Just like a butterfly with razors for wings, his blade dismantled its head…

Landing with his back towards the dragon, he licked a drop off blood off of his lip, and then turned…
He stared into the dead dragon’s eyes, and he swore it shed a tear…
Its eyes’ closed softly, and stayed shut forever.

The journey back seemed to last forever… The life of the cavern was stolen, and the magic was no longer there…
The silver pond lost its touch, and the flames looked to flicker freely now…
They were free, but they would forever long to be captured again…
The fire demon brought them to life, and the fire demon died.

The life of the dungeon died with drako that night…

And as our hero’s skin braced sunlight again…The cheers were monumental, but he’ll never forget the look in drako’s eye, the look of sorrow. He’ll never be able to relight the fires of that cave…
Like Drako once did.
