Description
My mind’s skies’ are grey. I stand shell-shocked.
After all the last wave of gunfire was petrifying,
And I believe I’ve been hit.
Too scared to look, too hurt to cry.
Legs shaking, heart beating.
Muscles to worn to try,
Peaking over the bunker, is the anger gone?
Is it waiting, For my curiosity to get the best of me?
Which it has dozens of times before.
I find my body’s liquid leaking onto my hands, Through the hole in my vest.

The end is nigh, the end is nigh.
I shake, as a blur takes the focus from my blood-shot eyes.

I fall into the earth,
Fall into the sky

This moments been a hasty one, time, and bullets have flew on by.
Now my feet, and mine fade away…
Fading from the earth.
