Like your life was.
When the sun came up this morning.
Loosen up, because you’re so uptight and it’s only me you’re drowning.
You don’t even know your own strength.
You don’t know what you do to me.
You’re painting pictures with your heart, and it looks like you’re blind to me.
My face is all blurred.
You think you’re falling in love, but you’re doing this all wrong.
Copy my way.
Then smile again, before this day is gone.
Are you breathless now?
My hand slipped I swear.
I’m trying to figure out what I’ve done to you that’s hurt you so bad.
My heart kept in line like a soldier in uniform.
You undressed me like a schoolgirl.
Not knowing what I was getting into.
O embrace my face with your tears.
I’m trying to make my words easier to hear.
I still smell you in my room.
But I come back to reality and notice, I’m the only one who’s laying here…
My dream is my life.
My heart is my line.
You were my eyes.
Now I live blind.
Now lead me away, into a busy road.
And stand me up straight in the centre.
Is this over…
I guess it is.
I’m taking my pulse as my eyes dart across your note.
You watched me fade away.
You watched my heart die.
