Another drawing I did for the "text as art" theme at my art academy. Inspired by the "In Their Own Words" series by Phil Vance. As Sherlock Holmes is one of my favourite fictional characters, I decided to draw - or rather, write - him for this piece. Everything that makes up this drawing is written by hand. All are words and sentences.A photo reference of Basil Rathbone (famous for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes) was used.
All text is from chapter two of "A Study in Scarlet" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
