Description I'm sure we've all had this happen...right?

------------

Fooling around with character designs, mostly, and the line "The days when it rained mice were the worst" had been sitting on a note on my desktop for awhile. The two just kinda went together...

Digital, Painter 7. Prints are available for $10 and $20 plus shipping. Send a note or visit [link] for details!

It's rained frogs many times, so a rain of mice makes perfect sense!

Do the mice have little trampolines or something for each to land on? Don't want the mice getting hurt.

Very nicely done, I love your style of drawing

Summary: The mice should be fine.

Details:
You might want to look up the concept of the Square-Cubed law... it explains why giant insects would collapse under their own weight and (relevant to this case) also explains why a mouse can drop off a sky-scraper if they like and not have much worse happen than getting the wind knocked out of them.

In brief, the strength of a muscle or bone is proportional to the cross-section which increases square of the linear dimension, while the mass it has to support is proportional to the cube... thus the smaller an organism is, the stronger it is proportionally... these ALSO apply roughly to the maximium speed that a falling object will reach before air resistance balances with gravitational acceleration.

Mousies! I wonder if they hurt themselves when they hit the ground. D: There is grass, right?

More importantly, I hope no-one carries a *pointy* umbrella.
