I know, I know, the rocks are phallic. They could be worse! Everybody should know by now just how much worse they could be!Annnnyway, this particular color scheme--and technique--are still really appealing to me, so I did another piece in it, featuring two happy snuggly lizards. (Perhaps one just barely escaped from the dreaded Valley of Wang and it's a welcome home hug. I don't know.) It's watercolor on cold-press, 9 x 12, with some acrylic ink thrown in. (What, you thought I masked off those white bits? Pshaw! I could no more plan that far ahead than I could levitate and perform a can-can.)

I have a huge soft spot for all things adorable, and this nails it. The use of watercolors doesn't hurt things either -- such beautifully-rendered textures! I'm in love with the color scheme, too.

Yeah, we all know how much worse the rocks can be. I remember in the eight grade my principal got up and drew a "rocket", completely bewildered as to why everyone in my immature, pregraduate class was lauging their asses off.
