Description
I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of images that have come to me in a dream. Generally I'm suspicious of the whole concept--it's one of the oldest artistic cliches, after all, and there's something vaguely New Agey about it, and I suppose I have this vague fear that if I start waltzing around going "It came to me in a dream!" I'm starting down a road that ends with me changing my name to Starwombat and slicing off a hunk of the Astral Fruitcake.Fortunately, it never comes up, because my dreams, while vivid and bizarre, rarely contain much paintable imagery. (Yes, I could have painted the whales exploding over Manhattan, but it would have been really unpleasant...) But every now and then, I'll wake up with the fragment of an image in my head.
I don't know why I was dreaming of towers of brightly colored teapots--I'd bought some Fiestaware the day before, maybe that was it--but the image stuck with me even after I woke up. I wonder what I was doing there...
Digital, Painter 7. Prints available in the regular size for $10, and as a limited Edition Jumbo print for $50 (edition size probably of 50, haven't quite finalized that yet.) You can order those from Red Wombat Studio at [link]

Lol, tea time 'extreme.'
I love teapots, they are cute and this picture is pure awesomeness. I love how colorful this is.

Not sure which I like more the image or your words used in the description! lmao I loved your humor and such and I love the image. Although it is an older "cliche" it is still a great piece of work you have here! Curious as to whether or not you would allow me to use it in a non profit signature?

Ohh - very nicely done! I love this!
I don't suppose you remember the 'ipes' screensaver that came with Windows, do you? I'm not even sure if it's still around - but if you watched it long enough eventually a random teapot would appear on one of the joints. And occasionally - rarer still - a coffee pot.
On a slightly different note - I had some Shoggoth Jasmine Tea given to me for Christmas and recognised your style straight away - it's so good to know you're doing so well. (I laughed and laughed at the Shoggoth tea.

My wife is an incorrigible tea drinker- she just loves this one.I think tea would be very nice with a slice of Astral Fruitcake BTW. That came to me in a dream, along with the platypus playing Warren Zevon tunes on his sitar.

Reminds me of the scene in The Sword in the Stone when all the pots and pans and books start to dance and pack themselves into Merlin's bag. Nicely done!

Nice!
Gives me visions of a Disney movie...
Wild dreams! I have some really weird ones too, but forget them soon after waking.
I would like to see the exploding wales, morbid fascination...
like a train wreck, it's horrible but you just can't look away.
Keep up the good work!

Fiestaware is to dishes what Starbucks is to coffee--regardless of your feelings on its actual taste, it is the most addictive thing on the market.
My mom has an entire cabinet devoted solely to her Fiestaware collection, and she haunts eBay for the original colors all the time. She even has a few colors that we can't eat off of because of the paint.

Perhaps you were thinking of the tea-time scene with the Mad Hatter in Alice In Wonderland? Or maybe the singing dish-ware in Beauty and the Beast?
That's what it makes me think of...

Now, if they're filled with all the tea in China, you'll have it made. I like how that one purple one is all sqishy, like it's made of rubber.
Others mentioned this being Disney-esque. I'm imagining them all *singing* now, like something out of "Beauty and the Beast."
I sometimes have dreams of fields of bones. Perhaps I should paint that.

I love the Disney-esque feel this has to it. Very bright and colorful with an overall pleasant feel to it. Very good job. I should start painting from my dreams. Mine would be quite scary though. lol
