Description A follow-up--only a year late!--to One Odd Ocelot. The sketch has been around nearly that long, but I was only seized by the urge to paint big-eyed primates recently.

In addition to the tarsiers, there are tomatoes, tomatillos, textbooks (or tomes!) test tubes and toe rings.

This is fantastic! I usually don't like green and red as primary palette colors because it just screams 'Christmas' to me (regardless of the illustration's theme or intent) but you handled the colors expertly in this piece- they look perfect!

And I'm loving the toe-ring; so cute!

This has come together wonderfully!! Love it!

I still have One Odd Ocelot cycling through on my desktop background every now and again, and he still makes me smile every time. I think this one might have to be added to that collection!

Congrats!

This reminds me of a book I loved as a kid called "Animalia" by Graeme Base. Just recently lent it to my sister, and her 3-year-old loves it.

Did you ever see the book, I think it was called "Animalia" growing up? It's a childrens book where every page/spread is like this, all things of on letter, has an ungodly amount of detail, and even adults could drown in it for hours? This reminds me of that, and I love it!

8D Ah! You took the idea even further! Now there are two texting tarsiers... love it. The colour scheme is simply gorgeous.

Like someone else suggested, I'd love a set of counting cards from one to ten. My nephew is as interested in animals as I am, and something like this would help a great deal.
