Description
Annnnd here's Pacemaker! Such a tiny, tiny little old 'con, especially compared to his own race.. xD (The size any ways.)Annny ways, as per Kaizou, here is Pacemaker's profile. Thankfully, this time, you can read his small blurb on the Powermaster combination up there without going 'full view'.
Also, that on the side is his name written out using the 'Decepticon Alphabet', which came with some game somewhere.. Uhhhhhhhh I don't know. OH WELL. Point is, yes, I was a nerd enough to hunt it down. xD
Kaizou can be found over here: [link]
--------------------------------
Designation: Pacemaker
Alt Mode: G-Wheel
Universe: Animated
Primary Class Function: 'Scientist'
Class Clarification: Being seen as lower than dirt(What with being in a completely different realm now) in addition to having a human for a 'battery' got him stuck on base cleaning. So technically, he's just there. Since he tends to just let Kaizou do the cleaning. ERRRRR...
Subroutine Function: Battery/Original in Powermaster relationship.
Abilities: Aside from his natural ability to manipulate 'non-living metal' (In other words, a limited amount of metal that isn't attached to a living spark.. Though theoretically he could, provided he's willing to fight that spark for it at the risk of himself. Which he's not.), Pacemaker's studies allowed him the knowledge to do something that he not only refused to share with his fellow decepticons, but has in fact forgotten specifically how to program. The reaction itself is semi-automatic, and powered by will; that is, his ability to 'jump bodies' with his spark.
Essentially, it's a 'back up' method, and provided there is a large enough power source, he can hop from his body if endangered and into the source to hide out until safe. Unfortunately, if the source already has a spark in it, he stands a risk of either being absorbed, kicked out, or even bonded to that other spark.
As a side note, the maximum amount of metal/metal with glass and plastic glued on that he can move around and re-form is about the amount contained in an average earth car.
Weapons: When you can make a mace out of a car and then reform it into a large gun, you don't need a weapon. Granted, this does nothing for re-coil or strength, so either the weapon is going to be partially levitated most of the time (A fairly simple task depending), or... It's ground based. It should be noted that Pacemaker's hand to hand sucks, even if you don't count his pathetic size.
That pole on his shoulder? Some weird microscope/scanning thing. It tells him the compound of the molecules in the air.
That's pretty cool.
Personality: A considerably large shadow of his former self, Pacemaker was notorious for being off-track, non-empathetic, and so paranoid it makes Skywarp(Animated) look courageous. This apparent coldness is more likely ignorance however, as the seemingly insane decepticon just happens to be blunt and over eager in his... Studies. Which are non-existent for the moment unless someone should approach him with an offer to do otherwise.
This probably won't happen any time soon.
A more creepy aspect of his personality is that he never seems to get angry... At all. It's very un-decepticon of him, but it tends to be attributed to literally living with half a processor. This is the same for his unnatural cheer about everything.
(This could all just be because he's a tiny old man.)
Reason For Joining: Years and years ago, when Pacemaker was actually sane and his intellect showed, the 'con began to delve into highly experimental studies. Techno-organics, spark-transplants into non-protoform type materials, complete reprogramming in cybertronian processors, natural and unexplainable abilities present in a fair number of the race... Etc. Needless to say, the autobots were not pleased with what were in his mind 'good ideas for the future of the race', and he found himself recruited by the decepticons, whom he had caught the attention of, where he had plenty of test subjects.
In the form of autobot prisoners they had no use for.
Background Information: Pacemaker, who gained his name for the habit of forcing his experiments to stay alive or out of stasis during tests, was one of the unfortunate few who had a very, very, bumpy entry to earth, out of those who even set foot on the planet at all. Though quite unintentional (he hadn't even been aiming to go planet side. He just got clipped by an asteroid.), the crash was catastrophic, rendering a majority of his systems dead, most of his body unusable or outside his control, and his spark drawing extremely close to failure.
As luck would have it however, the highly organic area he landed in was not empty; one of the 'higher' beings of the planet approached his wreckage with curiosity, and with what was left of his vocal processor, the 'con managed to 'convince' the human boy that he was there for the good of his race and needed his body. The boy seemed to agree... However, when Pacemaker jumped into the body, he realized all to painfully that humans really don't take death that well. Even when they are completely unaware of the fact. The resulting pain forced the two to enter into an un-intentional 'Binary Bond', an near amensalistic relationship between 'battery' and 'mech'.
However, due to the conditions of the bond and how they 'complete the link' to fight so to speak, neither are actually sure of who is the battery(In other words, the mostly expendable one), and who isn't. And the only 'test' for that is to kill one and see what happens, so they aren't going to try anything just yet.
In any case, regardless of the blatantly obvious fact that he would probably get offlined by his superiors upon return, he attempted to(with his partner's help) build a spacebridge back to the Decepticon base.
Well, he made it. Kinda. Just ended up in the wrong dimension.
Other: In his alt mode, Pacemaker is even smaller than Soundwave's cassetticons. In fact, he's shorter than even his human partner. It's rather sad actually, especially since his partner is shorter than 5 feet. As for how the 'con still has a body, he pieced it together from the non-liquid/toxic remains of his old one. (A lot of it melted unfortunately.)
By the way, HE'S REALLY OLD.
