Today is the opening day of the Barbie movie. For 25 years I searched high and low for a "lumberjack Barbie." Some 3rd parties made Barbie sized chainsaws but there was never an official "lumberjack Barbie." For all the jobs Barbie has had, she's had very few blue collar jobs -- just a firefighter and a farmer as far as I know. Never a mechanic, truck driver, welder, construction worker, carpenter, plumber, electrician or arborist/lumberjack. You would think Barbie would be a great tool for encouraging young girls to expand the possibilities of working in male-dominated fields.Anyway, thanks to ToonMe and my Stock Art collection I have some "lumberjack Barbie" images.
