The New Adventures of Jay Jay the Jet Plane (originally titled The New World of Jay Jay the Jet Plane) is an upcoming children's series and revival of the original Jay Jay the Jet Plane series.This series is being produced by Trilogy Animation Group (of whom currently own the rights to the original series).
Like the original series, it will be CGI-animated, but will not have any live-action humans.
It has been confirmed that Debi Derryberry and Sandy Fox will reprise their respective roles for the new series.
A release date has yet to be revealed.
So until the day of launching, it is still currently in development and in production.
Unlike the original series, however, the faces of the planes are more cartoon-like and actually match the rest of their bodies rather than being realistic and fleshy.
As of yet, it is unconfirmed if Herky or Old Oscar will be in the new series, though the former's role has seemingly been filled by Ricky Rescue.
Some viewers and/fanatics also personally hope it can compete against Firebuds one day.
