Description
The formula "more than autonomy, less than independence" seems quite popular in some European countries that have problems with separatist movements today. To keep their countries together, some of their leaders are offering those terms to the rebellious provinces. What would have happened if, in some alternate history, the American South had negotiated those terms before the American Civil War could escalate into such a bloody conflict. How would the flag of that South, still a part of the USA, look? This is my answer to that question.
