Description Bio: Isabelle is our first female diesel to see and is another streamlined diesel on the Salt Lake & Southwestern. She is a former Illinois Central E8 built by Electro-Motive Diesel in the early 1950s for passenger service on the Illinois Central. Being iconic engines for the Illinois Central, Isabelle and her siblings were assigned to many passenger trains throughout the Midwest, most notably the City of New Orleans. Because of how versatile the EMD E units were, Isabelle and her siblings continued to power passenger trains into the Amtrak Era working alongside the SDP40Fs such as Eric and the F40PHs such as Christopher who we will look at in the future. As time went on, Isabelle and her siblings started to show their age as Amtrak began to retire them with Isabelle donated to the Museum of the American Railroad in Frisco, Texas while the rest of her siblings would be donated other museums, parks, or sent to scrapyards to be scrapped. Isabelle enjoyed her retirement at the museum, but it would be short-lived as she would be purchased by the Salt Lake & Southwestern for use on the City of Salt Lake between Salt Lake City, Utah and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Today, Isabelle can be seen as the primary engine on the City of Salt Lake but is occasionally assigned to other passenger trains as well.

Persona: Isabelle is a straightforward and Good-hearted diesel who just knows what to do if in a Jam, and can help out any engine if they're in a Jam as well. Although she is primarily a passenger engine, Isabelle doesn't care if she hauls freight on some occasions as she learned that the E units on Erie Lackawanna hauled freight after that railroad ended passenger operations. While Isabelle is friendly, she can get annoyed if an engine is being boastful such as Drake the Pennsylvania Railroad BP20 whenever he is being his usual narcissist self.
