Description
This is one of the most bizarre public sculptures I've come across. Two worn out dragonflies, arranged in a way they look like they've been thrown out there to rot. They are in the middle of an overgrown pond that never (as far as I've personally witnessed) gets cleaned out, the atmosphere is slightly jungle-like and apocalyptic. All this just some hundreds of meters from a well kept buzzling city center of Kauniainen.

I googled and found out that these dragonflies were made by a man called Niko Nordström. They are made out of wood with a motor saw. I wonder why the city doesn't keep this place neat and tidy. What a delightful work of art. Even in the state that it is now.

This image is a composite of several images. I wouldn't have been able to capture it all, unless is brought down a couple of trees and developed wings.
