For those who don't know Ash greninja was a thing that the Pokemon anime did in it's Kalos seasons were through the power of friendship Ash's Greninja gets new color pallet to look similar to Ash

Now I never really watched that season the season I watched was indigo league (gen 1) the Orange islands and Best wishes (gen 5)

(I feel like I should clarify this now, I was raised on home media mostly VHS and Netflix)

I tried to watch the X and Y series once but got bored because one of the things I (and my siblings) always liked about the Pokemon anime was the comedy due to the fact we liked comedy and due to a combnation of the internet and the fact that the show was going on for so long we knew no real progress was going to made or had been made in a season we didn't have access too

(At one point we had Hulu and was excited to see the Sinnoh part of the series but was disappointed to see it was all out of order also is it just me or was Hulu for a while was REALLY shitty)

because that we all liked Clian more than we should have.

uh any ways to get back onto the topic of the Ash greninja as an outsider I always thought it was stupid, like you mean to tell me this random pokemon Ash has had for about like a little over a year is the one who gets the OP friendship form? and even if it did happen to like Pikachu happened it would to me come off as REALLY gimmicky.
