"I can try to free you, but you have to promise me one thing... that you won't seek vengeance on the ones that did this to you, or harm any other humans unless you must do so in order to save humans who are in danger. I'm not sure whether you would be inclined to do so, but I'm just making sure. I don't see why they'd need to trap you here in order to study you. You can learn a lot of things just by observing. I'm thinking that maybe they'd have a little more respect if one of their own kind spoke up for you, so if you brought me with you, I could pose as your owner whenever it was necessary. I don't mean that I'll try to control you or anything, I'm saying you can keep my as your pet. ^_^ My family will get worried if I don't show up, but I'm an adult, so I can call them and tell them what's going on. I'll tell them this is my own decision and there's no need to rescue me. What do you say?

"Alright, let me find a high-powered plasma cutter or something. I think I saw some welding tools in another room. I'll be right back as soon as I find something, okay?"

*I make some adjustments to a gas hose for a welding device by unscrewing the nozzle and adding extra sections, making it long enough to reach into the room. When I'm done, I bring it in along with a striker.* I think I should be able to melt through that steel ring on your neck, but before I do, are your scales heat-resistant? I don't want to hurt you."

*I set start pumping gas out of the hose and light a blue flame. When I aim this at the steel ring, it starts to glow yellow/orange and melt. As the liquid splatters on the ground, a gap is formed in the ring. I wait for the area to cool down and then spin the ring around your neck 180 degrees. After doing the same process on the other side of the ring, it breaks in half and both sections fall on the floor. I look around at the chains surrounding you, and there don't seem to be any other devices binding you.* "Okay, you're free now. Want to fly to a place where you'll have room to hunt and live without having to worry about being harassed by humans? And like I said, you can take me with you if you want."

"Okay, I think the sun set about half an hour ago, so now should be a good time to get out of here." *I lead you to the building's delivery bay and crank open a large door.* "I hope you don't mind carrying me. I'm pretty sure flying is the fastest way we can get away from this place and leave the city. And by the way, do you have a name? Mine's Dante."

I landed as gently as I could then said "your welcome" as I let you off of my back

"Okay, sounds like a good place to stay for now. So, how about I go collect some wood? You're good at starting fires, right?"

"Alright, I'll get started." *I make several trips in and out of the cave, hauling in as much wood as safely possible each time in order to reduce the number of trips. I then set up a pile of wood for the fire. "Okay, it's ready."

With that I blow a small stream of fire and ignite the wood

*I sit down next to you and lean against your side.* "Jewel thanks for being my friend."

*I come back to the cave a while later with a backpack compartment full of berries and a dead snake, which I roast on the fire. I eat, then wait for you to return."
