Awesome shot, I can never get that clear of a shot of that place, I always wind up with blurring lights .

It's not really a secret, but it's good tip 
At night the camera is a bit more fussy due to the
aperture settings required for the long exposure.

It all depends on how much you want to spend,
I just picked up a very good with one on Boxing Day
by Manfrotto, it's a great brand. They have all
kinds of prices, mine was $160 before the discount.
It's very compact, so it makes it easier to carry

ya I have seen them get pricey. For me it is all about the legs and the grips on the bottom, after what happened with my previous gifted tripod a few Christmas's back I am just very leery as to what to get now. Was looking at a few from London Drugs that were decently priced and sturdy but we will see what happens

Ya I normally would go to Blacks in Metrotown, but London Drugs is closer and I did find a Manfrotto one at London Drugs, but settled for another one I felt was more what I was looking for. So in a few days I will be able to get it. Also I am getting a new camera too so I am happy

I was happy with a cheap one I had, but it wasn't
tall enough, so I had to get a new one. Have fun with

Well this tripod actually is a few inches shorter then me so that is over 5 feet so I am happy with that lol
As for the camera will be a month or two yet before I get that but that is ok the way I take photos in the winter it is best I do not have it yet
