Description
the wind sings through the pointswhere trees and sky embrace
to touch the light from far beyond
my fingers dip into night
pull down the heavens like a shaded room
to capture the essence inside
to hold the darkness from the light
a game of seek and hide.
fire casts memories to shadows
they breathe in motion on the walls
the laughter dances
waltzing in time, of spring summer and fall
the whirl of the skirt
with each turn of the wheel
the spirit lingers / revels
the knotwork of paths
converging / diverging / unfolding
exact & unveiled.

The picture you paint here seems really vast to me, not only the image of a day that announces the spring but all the carefree uplifting feeling that day brings. The depth of this poem continues to unfold with each read.

..."fire casts memories to shadows"... I would have to say that one is my fave line, though they all harmonize so well together. Each one adds to the next, painting the picture just a little more vivid. A spot of yellow here, a dash of green there *sigh* Very very well written. Well deserving of the DD.
What really cheeses me off though is when a picture wins Daily Deviation it gets like 100 comments, but when a poem does we are lucky if we get 15. *shakes head* Any idiot can lok at a picture but it takes actual imagination to look at a group of words and paint the picture yourself. Not that i am knocking graphics or nuffin I like those too, it just seems way unfair *shrug* great work, sorry about venting

A very very beautiful peice, I love the way you use vauge metonomy, the rythm flows calmly, the changing of the tone, very balanced.
I'm confident that you had inspirations to compose this other than the obvious.
